This was written in the late 1970's, about a specific girl I saw (and met) who was skating in Central Park. The original version is sung by Willie Nile, so I was reluctant to re-record it. This song is part of a larger project, call it a rock opera, called See Rock City.
I began the mix with tons of instruments, and slowly weeded them out till I wound up with just a basic rhythm section and a few effects.
