I'm having problems syncing the MIDI drums I generated in RealBand with the RealDrums I generated by opening up a SGU BIAB file.

Provided tempo and time signatures are the same, the drums should synchronise. Is it possible that one of the drums is a swing style and the other an even style?

What Realdrum set did you use and what style as the midi set from? If you post this information, I'll test it.

When you open it, make sure the tempo in RB is the same as the tempo was in BiaB.
May even want to peek at the tempo map to make sure things look OK.

I do not work here, but the benefits are still awesome

I am opening a BIAB file in RB, then going to a blank track and generating the MIDI drums. The Real Drums track and the Generated MIDI drums are out of sync.

I get that.

I have never had this issue, just offering ideas on what I would check.

I'd first look at the RealDrum Track in the middle of the song and see if the peaks (bass/snare) look correct when compared to the time line. (best done in Audio Edit window)
In other words is the bass drum hitting on 1-1-0 of the measure, or has the realtrack drifted.

This isolates where it occurs.
If MIDI is not generating right on the beat I'd be really surprised .. RB has never had a problem with MIDI itself, so I'd check audio tracks first.

I'm trying to help narrow down where to look for the cause of the issue.
My gut says it's a Tempo difference between BiaB and RB, but it may be caused by the clock being used by each program also ..
And
If you Froze the track(s) in BiaB before opening in RB, the RT is generated differently.

Other things may come into play too, but I'd start with figuring out which one is wrong..
If the RealDrum is what's wrong I'd generate another one on a new blank track and see if it too wanders. More Clues

What midi device are you using for the drums ?
So there is delay in the midi playback ?

I always freeze all tracks in my final BIAB files, as I do not want to change the arrangement or regenerate any tracks once I like the song. So Rharv I will unfreeze one of my songs and pull it into RB and see how that goes.

Thanks for making the suggestion of adjusting the RD, or even looking at the RD as being off. I was using the RealDrums as the correct timing and adjusting the MIDI drums, assuming that the MIDI was drifting or off time with the real drum track.

I'm using the PG DRUM SET ROCK in SampleTank 2.X

Please define "out of sinc".
A. Start time is different.
B. Metronome in RB that was not in BIAB or visa-versa.
C. Completely different tempos.
D. They start out correctly and drift out of time.
E. Other.

There's a gazillion rock RD's most with a bunch of substyles. You were asked to provide details, gotta get specific. As in EXACTLY what did you do, list the mouse clicks, your midi and audio config screens, stuff like that. The songfile might be helpful. Post the screenshots of your midi devices and audio setup windows.

Coincidentally, I just finished generating midi drums in a project that has three different RD tracks, no problem. Doubtful it's anything to do with the software itself because nobody else has posted about this but you never know...

Almost forgot one of my own mantras. You need to close and reopen RB often but if you've done that already and the problem persists, then obviously that's not it.

As pointed out, this should be in sync.

If it's not.... I'd look at the soundcard and driver first since midi in Real Band can suffer latency if the soundcard and driver are not right. Audio tends to run just fine while it takes a bit of time to properly process the midi and get the samples to the speakers. With drums, due to their percussive nature and short durations, even a few milliseconds of latency is very noticeable.

On my laptop, with the factory sound card, I can run a project perfectly in BB.... then I move it to RB where some of the tracks might be midi and I have all sorts of sync issues with the factory card. I can plug in my Focusrite and run ASIO and that same project will now run perfectly in sync. The only thing different is the soundcard and it's driver.

It does make a difference.

Sorry for my delay.

The issue is my interface Focusrite 2i4. I'm having major problems with the driver for win 10. I have updated it 3 times. Looks like I will need to wait until I fix this problem before I can do any work. Every 5 minutes audio goes to BBZZZZZZZZZZ and wreaks my ears.

As far as posting a screen print, I have a new logitech K400 plus wireless keyboard with a touch pad instead of a keypad, all the function keys are different and I have tried all of them and can't find a print screen key. Manual says FN Backspace but that's not working.

Per Focusrite website. I did all but the last step.

https://support.focusrite.com/hc/en-gb/articles/207355205-Optimising-your-PC-for-Audio-on-Windows-10

Notice they say to disconnect from the internet, turn off all firewalls, and turn off the anti-spyware and antivirus software. All done.

No more buzzing,( Yet )however every 2 to 3 minutes there is clicking in the audio playback. Sweetwater Tech tole me to go get a new USB cable.

I know this is not part of my original post, but, I can't even do anything until my interface is working properly.

Thanks pipeline. Here is a screen capture done with the snip it tool which explains where the screen captures were going when I pressed FN Backspace on my keyboard. They did not go to the clipboard. They were saved to a folder called screen shots on my Google Drive. Hay nobody told me that??? I had to search on Google for problems with screenshots on windows 10???

Opened a problem ticket with Focusrite support.

But, in the mean time I noticed after updating the driver and opening up RB the left and right record indicators were both active and I was only using the left channel to record. I opened up preferences and saw that the audio driver was set to MME so I switched it back to ASIO. Seemed to fix the problem and now if I plug into the left channel on the interface RB indicates I'm using the left channel. If I plug int the right its right, if both channels are plugged in then the channel strips both light up.

I'm only getting a problem now every hour or so with the Buzzzzing. But, the clicks every so often are driving me insane. Going to Best Buy to get a new USB cable with a bigger ferric bead (choke) tomorrow.

So none of my songs that I produced in BIAB have the same tempo setting when I open them up in RB. In RB it will say 100%. The tempo seems correct but one of my 85 BPM songs in BIAB opens up in RB as 100BPM.

I apologize for posting the problems of Buzzing and clicking here in the PG music forum. It is a Focusrite issue.

202 New RealTracks Released with Band-in-a-Box 2026!

With Band-in-a-Box® 2026, we've released 202 incredible new RealTracks (in sets 468-488) in a variety of genres—featuring your most requested styles!

Jazz, Funk & World (Sets 468-475):
Our new jazz, funk & blues RealTracks include a groovin’ collection of RealTracks and RealDrums! These include more requested “soul jazz” RealTracks featuring artists Neil Swainson (bass), Charles Treadway (organ), Brent Mason (guitar), and Wes Little (drums). There are new “smooth jazz” styles (4), which include a RealTracks first: muted trumpet, as well as slick new smooth jazz brushes options for drums. Blues lovers will be thrilled—there are more “classic acoustic blues” styles, including guitar (5), bass (4), and drums (10) with blues master Colin Linden, featuring understated and tasty background acoustic soloing, plus brushes drums and acoustic bass. There are also new electric blues RealTracks, including electric blues with PG favorite Johnny Hiland (3) and soulful electric slide guitar from Colin Linden (4). If you love funk & gospel, there are great new options this year, including gospel organ (3) from Charles Treadway, as well as new funk, tango, and rock ’n’ roll drums (3) and bass (1). And for big, bold arrangements, we have uptempo soul horns (4) featuring a three-part hip horn section with options for a full mix or stems of each individual horn — plus an accompanying rhythm section (4) of drums, bass, guitar, and electric piano!

Rock & Pop (Sets 476–482):
Our new rock & pop RealTracks bring a powerful mix of requested favorites, fresh genres, and modern chart-inspired styles! We have more of our popular “Producer Layered Acoustic Guitars (15)” featuring Band-in-a-Box favorite Brent Mason. We’ve continued our much-requested disco styles (10), and added new Celtic guitar (5) with a more basic, accessible approach than our previous Drop-D or DADGAD offerings. There are also highly requested yacht rock styles (17), inspired by the smooth, polished soft-rock sound of the late ’70s and early ’80s — laid-back grooves, silky electric pianos, warm textures, elegant harmonic movement, and pristine production aesthetics. Fans of heavier styles will love our new glam metal (13), capturing the flashy, high-energy sound of ’80s arena-ready guitar rock. We also have a set of rootsy modern-folk rock (18), with a warm, organic sound combining contemporary folk textures and driving acoustic strumming. And we’ve added lots of new modern pop styles (16) — the kinds of sounds you’re hearing on the radio today, featuring exciting new drums, synths, and cutting-edge RealTracks arrangements.

Country, & Americana (Sets 483–488):
Our new country & Americana RealTracks deliver a rich collection of acoustic, electric, and roots-inspired styles! We have new country pop (9) with legendary guitarist Brent Mason. There is also a potpourri (14) of bouzouki, guitars, banjo, and more, perfect for adding texture and character to contemporary acoustic arrangements. We’ve added funky country guitar (5) with PG favorite Brent Mason, along with classic pedal steel styles (5) featuring steel great Doug Jernigan. There are more country songwriter styles (8) that provide intimate, rootsy foundations for storytelling and modern Americana writing. Finally, we have “background soloing” acoustic guitar (12) with Brent Mason — simpler, but still very tasty acoustic lines designed to sit beautifully behind vocals or act as a subtle standalone solo part.

Check out all the 202 new RealTracks (in sets 468-488)!

And, if you are looking for more, the 2026 49-PAK (for $49) includes an impressive collection of 20 bonus RealTracks, featuring exciting and inspiring additions to add to your RealTracks library. You'll get new country-rhythm guitar styles from PG Music favorites Johnny Hiland and Brent Mason, along with modern-pop grooves that capture today’s radio-ready sound! There are also new indie-folk styles with guitar, bass, 6-string bass used as a high-chording instrument, acoustic guitar, and banjo. Plus, dedicated "cymbal fills" RealDrums provide an added layer that work very well with low-key folky styles with other percussion.
