I just finished watching the BIAB tutorial and was able to come up with a workaround. I set the "Height of Additional Chord Display layer" to 170 in the Display Preferences. This gives me large Nashville Chords (in the layer) and smaller normal chords.
I saved this setting as a Scheme for accessibility in the future.
