The Man I Love

Janice and Bud kindly agreed to collaborate on a blues track. I had a blues written by Leon called the Woman I Love which following a quick change of sex became The Man I Love.
The vocal is absolutely stunning and a superb example of blues singing. It was beautifully recorded by Bud and just dropped straight into the mix.
Once I received it I was in a bit of a panic not sure how I could do justice to the quality of Janice's performance. Anyway here it is and I hope I have appropriately showcased the vocal.

The Man I love

Well, the man I love, he can make me feel so bad
Yes, the man I love, he can make me feel so bad
Sometimes I feel like that man gonna drive me mad

He got me thinking I can’t do nothin’ right
Baby’s got me thinking I can’t do nothin’ right
He always blames me whenever we fuss and fight

You know, the man I love he can make me feel so small
The man I love he can make me feel so small
Sometimes I wonder if he cares for me at all

The man I love he can make me lose my mind
That man I love, he can make me lose my mind
Oh, but when he’s good, he’s the best you’ll ever find
