You don't need Sampletank SE (waste since it's a lite version, content wise of full ST3)
The Grid is free add-in for ST3 -but I'm not much for beat loops, "dubstep", hip-hop , etc. "arps" or loops
The two "custom shops" are just updates to THE custom shop list of NEW stuff you can buy (visit it ST2 or ST3 or AmpliTube 3 or 4 or T-Racks
Teh Custom Shop has current list of all available things you can buy (that's why ever once in a while when you go there from inside ST, AT or T-tracks- it will tell you to UPDATE it), and what you OWN, and what you don't own. You need to log into the Custom Shop (using IK log in).
As mentioned check the "Promotions" in your User area - there will be some other free stuff for ST3 you can get once you register iRig Keys
Larry
EDIT missed this first time YES you need to get the Sound Library Update 3.5 - and run it AFTER installing ST 3 and all the downloaded sound libraries
while your at it - pay attention to teh date on your "Sounds Download" line that has those 2 to 4 GB "SampleTank_3_Sound_Content_Part_1.zip" through "SampleTank_3_Sound_Content_Part_8.zip" files you spent so much time downloading. Those links EXPIRE in 6 months (180 days)! and after that you have to PAY a fee to re-establish.
So once they are downloaded, installed, and you are sure the zips were complete and good - BACK THEM UP somewhere!! this goes for ALL IK sound content. The basic program(s) (ST, Miroslav, SampleTron, etc. ) and any and all program files and updates are always available but NOT the SOUND content library's, this includes any additional sound libs you might purchase for ST 2 or 3.
EDIT to the EDIT
don't forget to check the "Related Downloads" link under ST3 (that's where the Steel Drums are. I got them too earlier today in an email and I didn't participate in the "Loaded Workstation" promotion)
this also applies to anyone with Miro 2 (they added a Concert Harp in the "sounds download" area a few weeks ago)

Bumping this up to inform people that there's only two days left for this deal.
I got my Irig Pro 37 delivered yesterday and just now went to IKM's website only to see a message "We are busy updating our website and will be back shortly".
Not like I'm busy or anything...

I evaluated the full version of ST3 and decided it was not worth it, even during that big give away. I did get the free version so I could load my old ST2.5 stuff into it but I was not impressed with the sounds that came with it. YMMV.

I also own Komplete but when I saw I could get the entire Sample Tank 3 for free by spending only $59 on a keyboard? No brainer! I love lots of the samples included in ST3, especially the MIDI pattern libraries they have included!

I just got a great deal on Komplete 10. Komplete 10... what was the deal can others benefit I'm sorry Mike - I should have mentioned I picked it up used on Craigslist - hopeful that the license transfer goes through (a little trust on both sides for this sale). I believe someone in a previous post mentioned that NI only goes on sale 1 or 2x per year - I will try and find and post it. I've not seen the initial purchase version for less than $400.

MarioD, how did you get a full evaluation copy of the ENTIRE SampleTank 3 library? I didn't know IK had ever allowed or gave out full evaluation copies Or did you mean you bought it?
I don’t think ST3 is bad, I think it's actually pretty good! No it is not world class in any category, but neither are Kontakt 5 FACTORY offerings, and that's ALL I'm comparing - FACTORY libraries only.

I've not seen the initial purchase version for less than $400. This is the whole point of this ST3 sale. The question is not how do the sounds compare to this one or that one. The question is how do the sounds compare with something you can get for more or less $100? Even used and you really got lucky I'll bet this is the best sound library you'll ever find for that kind of money. Plus the interface, plus all the midi loops and grooves. Bob

Larry I did not get a full copy of ST3 to evaluate. I listened to some of their audios and read how others either liked or disliked on other forums. After I got the ST3SE I listened to what was offered and thought it wasn't worth it. I still think Kontakt is a better deal because of the extra sounds you can purchase from both NI and third party sources but YMMV. FWIW I think that if one has Kontakt one does not need ST3, but this is only my opinion. You may disagree but that is fine. Like I said YMMV as sound sources are a very independent and personal thing. What I think is great others may think is junk, and visa-versa. peace

Hugh, inside the box is a registration card. You log into your account at the IKM website (create one if you don't have one). As soon as you register your purchase the downloads for ST3 along with the sound libraries automagically appear in your User Area.
They have a customer forum just like this one here. Since time is short get on that forum if you're having any issues, don't wait for someone to reply here.

BTW, I had to wait for my hardware to arrive, register it, only then I could download the software and libraries. So, I did not get to play with the software while waiting for my iRigKeys37 to arrive. Some of the free software was found in my "Promotions" area.
Does the noise in your head bother me ?

I have got 32 bit windows 7 so think I am limited to using Sampletank 2.5 only as 3 is only 64 bit.
Just wondering though how would others rate Sampletank sounds in comparison to Dimensions Pro which I have got as well? There seems to be a whole bundle of really good stuff in Dimensions pro.
Sort of reached the stage that I feel I really don't need any more samples unless they are free, its what I should do with the existing samples both in biab and Dimensions pro and a limited Sampletank 2.5 that matters.

You're correct but maybe this is the incentive you need to upgrade to 64 bit?
Also, a bunch of legacy ST2 sound libraries are on sale for $5.

Disclaimer upfront as a caveat emptor: I have tinnitus in both ears so YIMV (I'm coining a new "artiest" warning, becasue we need one for subjective things like sound quality so YIMV = Your Interpretation May Vary)
I have ST 2.5 and 3, Dim Pro, Rapture Pro (which brings in Dim Pro now - and Kontakt 5 and UVI, and...) Yes I think ST 2.5 is better. But Dim Pro has ability to do some nice analog synth work plus some of the add-ins are nice, even some stock sounds are perfectly fine but ST 2.5 is, IMHO, BETTER "on the whole."
Note however, if all you have is the very small sampling that comes with ST 2 free than NO Dim Pro is MUCH better becasue, Dim Pro comes with a FULL library and it does have some good sounds. ST 2.5 also came (no longer sold only ST3)with a full library if you bought it, as does Kontakt 5 if you buy it: you get what you pay for!
But beyond SOUND differences they are DIFFERENT "synths" structurally. e.g., ST 2 can do 16 FULL patches at once - Dim pro, becasue they are actually elements of sounds not necessarily individual patches, can only do four parts at most without another instantiatation of Dim Pro.

I find it's not a matter of if one is better than the other (I mean, come on, each one has thousands of sounds - is IK Multimedia's (Sampletank/Miroslav/SampleMoog/SampleTron/SonicSynth) thousands of sounds better than Native Instrument's (Kontakt libraries) thousands of sounds better than Garritan's Aria Player(GPO/IO/COMB/JABB/etc) thousands of sounds better than Cakewalk's (DimPro/RapturePro/SI/CSC)?
They each process sound different, provide different interfaces and different abilities to tweak. So for me, it's not so much which one is better, because each one is different. Each has strengths and weaknesses. But I find some go-to sounds in each of the libraries. Interestingly, though, I can honestly say I've never actually uses "thousands" of sounds in any of my music. But there are some really cool ones that I'd like, but just can't find the time to incorporate them.
Right now, I am concerned though that, for example in the case of the Aria Player, it the interface doesn't fit into theRealBand VSTi window. Hopefully this will get fixed soon, as more and more interfaces start uses more screen real estate, as they increase their features.

202 New RealTracks Released with Band-in-a-Box 2026!
With Band-in-a-Box® 2026, we've released 202 incredible new RealTracks (in sets 468-488) in a variety of genres—featuring your most requested styles!
Jazz, Funk & World (Sets 468-475):
Our new jazz, funk & blues RealTracks include a groovin’ collection of RealTracks and RealDrums! These include more requested “soul jazz” RealTracks featuring artists Neil Swainson (bass), Charles Treadway (organ), Brent Mason (guitar), and Wes Little (drums). There are new “smooth jazz” styles (4), which include a RealTracks first: muted trumpet, as well as slick new smooth jazz brushes options for drums. Blues lovers will be thrilled—there are more “classic acoustic blues” styles, including guitar (5), bass (4), and drums (10) with blues master Colin Linden, featuring understated and tasty background acoustic soloing, plus brushes drums and acoustic bass. There are also new electric blues RealTracks, including electric blues with PG favorite Johnny Hiland (3) and soulful electric slide guitar from Colin Linden (4). If you love funk & gospel, there are great new options this year, including gospel organ (3) from Charles Treadway, as well as new funk, tango, and rock ’n’ roll drums (3) and bass (1). And for big, bold arrangements, we have uptempo soul horns (4) featuring a three-part hip horn section with options for a full mix or stems of each individual horn — plus an accompanying rhythm section (4) of drums, bass, guitar, and electric piano!
Rock & Pop (Sets 476–482):
Our new rock & pop RealTracks bring a powerful mix of requested favorites, fresh genres, and modern chart-inspired styles! We have more of our popular “Producer Layered Acoustic Guitars (15)” featuring Band-in-a-Box favorite Brent Mason. We’ve continued our much-requested disco styles (10), and added new Celtic guitar (5) with a more basic, accessible approach than our previous Drop-D or DADGAD offerings. There are also highly requested yacht rock styles (17), inspired by the smooth, polished soft-rock sound of the late ’70s and early ’80s — laid-back grooves, silky electric pianos, warm textures, elegant harmonic movement, and pristine production aesthetics. Fans of heavier styles will love our new glam metal (13), capturing the flashy, high-energy sound of ’80s arena-ready guitar rock. We also have a set of rootsy modern-folk rock (18), with a warm, organic sound combining contemporary folk textures and driving acoustic strumming. And we’ve added lots of new modern pop styles (16) — the kinds of sounds you’re hearing on the radio today, featuring exciting new drums, synths, and cutting-edge RealTracks arrangements.
Country, & Americana (Sets 483–488):
Our new country & Americana RealTracks deliver a rich collection of acoustic, electric, and roots-inspired styles! We have new country pop (9) with legendary guitarist Brent Mason. There is also a potpourri (14) of bouzouki, guitars, banjo, and more, perfect for adding texture and character to contemporary acoustic arrangements. We’ve added funky country guitar (5) with PG favorite Brent Mason, along with classic pedal steel styles (5) featuring steel great Doug Jernigan. There are more country songwriter styles (8) that provide intimate, rootsy foundations for storytelling and modern Americana writing. Finally, we have “background soloing” acoustic guitar (12) with Brent Mason — simpler, but still very tasty acoustic lines designed to sit beautifully behind vocals or act as a subtle standalone solo part.
Check out all the 202 new RealTracks (in sets 468-488)!
And, if you are looking for more, the 2026 49-PAK (for $49) includes an impressive collection of 20 bonus RealTracks, featuring exciting and inspiring additions to add to your RealTracks library. You'll get new country-rhythm guitar styles from PG Music favorites Johnny Hiland and Brent Mason, along with modern-pop grooves that capture today’s radio-ready sound! There are also new indie-folk styles with guitar, bass, 6-string bass used as a high-chording instrument, acoustic guitar, and banjo. Plus, dedicated "cymbal fills" RealDrums provide an added layer that work very well with low-key folky styles with other percussion.
