Second, Yes the vast American people are stupid or at the very least uninformed. We know more about our favorite sports team than we do about presidential candidates. Most want something free from them so politicians say things what will appease the populous so they can get elected. This isn't only for the president but for congress and state and local governments. Also the more we push for sports in colleges and our local school systems the dumber our country becomes. That's not to say that there are not brilliant kids in those schools, there are, but the emphasis is on sports and not education and the arts.

Sorry for the rant but this is a sore spot for me.

I'll just sit back and wait for the hate mail to come.

Ps-this is a great song - two thumbs up

I can't credit the current candidates for inspiration, the chorus for the song (all two lines of it) was written in 1975 and never finished. It was written in an old songbook with the chords next to it. I just sat down a couple of weeks ago and made up the verses, they seemed appropriate. I actually used BIB to work out the chord progression for the verses, it's so easy to change the chords and listen to how it falls together. That F#mA C#mD BmA F#mE progression is not something I would have chosen without hearing how well it resolves.
