I want to try doing home karaoke for parties, playing piano along with it.

I'm think of using BIAB since it has big lyrics for Karaoke and apparently you can import lyric text files into BIAB. Seems the fastest way to get lots of songs and decent backup for my piano.

Use the BIAB bass and drum tracks for the various BIAB songs, assign a decent sounding acoustic bass and jazz brush drum sound to them, and import lyrics song-by-song until I have a decent repertoire built up.

So...is this a reasonable and efficient way to go ?

With existing .kar or CDG files played as is there is no flexibility in tweaking them. So I would assume I could import them into BIAB and tweak, OR use the BIAB songs and add lyrics.

And all I want is decent realistic acoustic bass and jazz brushes playing the BIAB lines to go along with the piano.

How would I get the best bass and brushes sounds ? Is there a recommended third party VSTi library of such instruments that BIAB could use ?

And is there one that might also have some additional pop music instruments I could assign in BIAB (acoustic guitar, sax, maybe a pop drum set, flugelhorn, and a few others)?

Thanks in advance for any help from a karaoke newb,

Bob
