What video are you referring to? If you give me a name, I'll have a look. A separate mixer window was not introduced into BIAB until 2014.

The below image is taken from the 2011 manual (pdf). To change the volume you need to click on a track (i.e. Bass, Drums, Piano, etc.) and then adjust the Volume setting located beneath it, highlighted red on the image.

The below image shows that the Bass track has been selected and so the Volume, Pan, Reverb, etc., settings are all relevant to what's on the Bass track.
