hello, have you updated to the last build? It is working here.
File > Open special > open musicxml
Just follow the step like he said and you'll be good to go. However, just make sure that you don't have a ton of instruments in your xml file. My experience with trying to get the XML file to work was a nightmare. BBIA box would play the file in the wrong key, most of the parts where assigned to one track, so the midi instrument was playing multiple parts at once, and I couldn't figure out how to separate each part, so I gave up.
