I'm not sure if the below thoughts will be useful because I suspect that I'm not properly understanding your situation. I'm posting them, though, on the off chance that they might be.

I notice you added "not mixing" to your Shout Box comment. If this means that your friend is only using the tracks so that s/he can perform a vocal track for you to mix, then you'd only need to send over a single track that's a compiled backing.

With electronics, tempos should match. That is, if you have it set at 120 bpm in Realband, that should exactly match 120 in Cubase. Again, though, if your friend is simply recording vocals against a backing and you've provided the backing, tempo settings shouldn't matter.

I don't know Cubase at all. If it reads XML, though, that might be a way to get the chord information to your friend. Alternatively, teh chords could be printed as a Leadsheet (pdf) and emailed.
