This is probably something fundamental, but when I render certain songs to a .wav file, they have about 3 extra bars of "space" at the end being added on. Any ideas on how to get rid of this, or what I am doing to cause it (I am not doing this intentionally)?
Thanks, Tony

Tony Firstly, welcome to the neighborhood!
Your songs may have endings set that could add extra bars.
Do you hear additional bars of music, or additional bars of silence? If it is just silence, an easy way would be to trim the Wav file using audacity or similar.
Check the Endings Options settings in the Song Settings (use the on screen button or Control-N)
Hope this helps Trev

In addition to Trevor's thoughts, Realtracks are set to end over 4 bars. This is so that the sounds can naturally fade away after the final note/chord is played. I wonder if this might be what's happening?
In the Song Settings mentioned by Videotrack, are you using a Tag? It's easy to specify an ending measure number that is well beyond the song playing. Actually, that's a feature, because you can use a held chord for your own ending, and let it sustain even a bit more than the four bars Noel mentioned.

I'm not concerned with what the rendered wave sounds like.... as far as the count in or the ending silence or fade.... or the levels. It's just a step in the process towards the final version.
If you render to a wave.... the simple solution is to not worry what RB or BB gives you as it's rendered wave. Simply take that wave file and open it in a wave editor. In the editor, you can "TRIM" the start or the ending as needed. Perfect edits every time. You also have some other useful tools in those editors. You can bump the levels up as well via several different methods.
Audacity..... Wavepad..... and probably several others. I use Wavepad.

The magic you are looking for is in the work you are avoiding.
Well, Tony wants to learn why this happens only on some songs, and we are trying to help him learn BIAB. I applaud his curiosity, and it's a solid first question.

I did check the song settings and everything is ok there.
Last night I found the Real Tracks 4 bar feature, and it was set to on. I turned it off, regenerated, but it didn't seem to make the problem go away.
I have not looked at the "Tags" yet...I will this evening.
I realize I can trim away the extra silence (and yes, it is silence not actual music playing), but i'd rather not pass the buck and create the .wav properly in the first place (if that is possible of course).
One interesting this is that I have been rendering the .wav files from Audio section. Last night I found a "Generate Soundtrack" which let me export to a .wav, and I was able to generate the .wav without the extra bars of silence. Is there any difference to "Generate Soundtrack" vs. rendering the .wav from the Audio option? I liked the ability to generate in Bulk which I did not see under "Generate Soundtrack".
Thanks again...
Tony

In the render windows, there are also some options to put some silence before and/or after the wave file. Make sure those fields don't have numbers in them.
