Was sad to see this.

One of the public radio stations where we used to live (in northern Virginia), when they weren't doing talk radio, played predominantly bluegrass music. We used to drive to church on Sunday mornings listening to the show "Stained Glass Bluegrass". Ralph Stanley was often heard on it.

My wife and I always got a laugh listening on Mother's Day to "Stained Glass Bluegrass", because for almost every song, if mama was dead already, she would be by the time the song ended. smile

RIP, Mr. Stanley!
