EUREKA!
Okay. I started with the chord sheet in concert C. I selected the chord display drop down menu and selected Alto sax. When I initially entered my intended chords some were changed as noted in the post above. While fiddling with the lead sheet attempting to enter notes for a test, I started having problems there as for some reason when I enter a quarter note, (note on the third vertical line, BIAB is not entering exactly what I want which is four quarter notes. I get an assortment of rests and 1/8 note combos but that's another problem.
I went back to the chord sheet at a loss for that and started fiddling with the key signature considering the sheet was in "A" although BIAB dash was showing "C". When I changed the key signature only, to read "Eb", my chord symbols changed to my intended chords. D# to Eb, G# to Ab and C# to Db and the lead sheet changed to "C" which is what I wanted to begin with, a sheet signature free of sharps and flats.
So perhaps changing the key on the dash to match the instrument is the "key" to this problem, at least it is for my arrangement.
