Beta versions are not counted by the "CHECK FOR UPDATE" feature so the feature will not recognize 436 until the BETA label is removed.

I'm not sure why the feature does not recognize 435. My guess is because some people identified new issues when 435 was introduced so perhaps the BETA label was never removed from 435 and 434 is still considered the last stable version.

Yes, you can manually download and install BETA 436 if you desire. I haven't seen anyone report any trouble with 436 in the forum so far.
