Our smelt fishing is on the incoming tides up in the rivers were the water is actually brackish. Salt water smelts. I never got used to the taste of fresh water or warm sea water fish. I'm from Maine. Now living in NC.
The cold water species are what I like.
Lobsta', clams, mussels, shrimp, scallops, cod, haddock. God I'm dying for some of that.
