Kontakt is my go to soft synth for sounds. Here is what I have that will most likely work for you:

Upright/double bass - Kirk Hunter's Diamond Orchestra. There are key switches for pizzicato and adjustments for legato. With a high legato setting you can get a bowed sound. Wait for a sale if you don't want to pay full price.

Again the Diamond Orchestra for the harp. It has the arpeggios but you can add a tremolo effect with some free VSTs and/or use Kontakt's Rotator. I use the latter.
