I can, for exemple, do a crossfade between an ableton track and a binab one. As long as ableton let me "mechanize" many parameter, i can assign one or more controls to the midi controller for the binab track (volume, equalization and more). Interesting and encouraging indeed  But have your experiments then also included any sort of recording with the aid of Soundflower in any way?
Just because you can, doesn't mean you should!
