Also be aware there is more than one method in BIAB to render a project. Try each method.
However, you can always render (export) the stereo project live and record the audio output in any recording software, like Audacity I tried he different methods, all with the same result. I have done your second method before, but, I found for some reason, the audio quality had dropped significantly. Just did not feel right..
