A few months ago I used Midi Gtr2 set to internal in/outputs and internal virtual midi to output midi (after being converted from guitar audio) to BIAB that got recorded. Obviously I needed to set up BIAB's midi settings and I messed around with internal settings as well as setting to "core" and it worked. Problem is, I'm trying to do it again, and have set it up the same way I thought I did = but no joy this time ...
I just don't seem to be getting any midi into BIAB. Was wondering if there's a way to troubleshoot. Is there a midi monitor to show if midi is getting to BIAB?

This works well for troubleshooting MIDI communication issues : https://www.snoize.com/MIDIMonitor/I also use MIDIGuitar2 , and usually I just use the IAC MIDI port to do this. - Jay

Thanks, but it requires OSX 10.7 - I only have 10.6.8 ...
Are you using Midi GTR 2 with an interface? How would you set up midi in order to use internal ins and outs?

I am using an M-Audio M-Track as an audio and MIDI interface, but it really shouldn't matter what hardware interface you are using. Here is How I am using MG2. 1 - Make sure the IAC (inter-application communication) MIDI driver is active on your system, scroll to the bottom of this page for more info : http://www.pgmusic.com/tutorial_bbm_nosound.htm2 - Then launch the standalone MG2 app, and make sure that your IAC port is selected as the MIDI output. 3 - Finally launch BIAB and set the MIDI input to be the same IAC port that you set MG2's output to be. Your system should remember those settings, so you should only have to set it up once. Hopefully this helps. - Jay
