Hej, Jeg har et lille problem du måske kan hjælpe med... Når jeg afspiller fra BiaB hakker det i lyden og lyder derfor forfærdelig. Jeg tror det er noget med at latency ikke står rigtig??? Hvos og hvordan får man det til at fungere korrekt?

Hej Stefan Det lyder mærkeligt! Du har jo en super computer, som kan trække en lastbil. Jeg kender ikke lydkortet, men det ser da ud til at være helt fint. Har du den nyeste driver til lydkortet? Latency kan du ikke indstille i Band-in-a-Box. - det skal indstilles i lydkortets indstillinger. Normalt er 128 samples, men med den maskine og Thunderbolt, kan du let stille den lavere. Ellers kan jeg simpelt hen ikke komme i tanke om noget. Hvis der er inkompatibilitet mellem lydkortet og BIAB ved teknisk afdeling i Canada måske noget, men det har jeg nu aldrig hørt om.
Undskyld at jeg svarer så sent, men når indlæg ikke bliver bragt i forum, ser jeg det ofte ikke. Jeg tillader mig at bringe dit indlæg i forummet. Måske har andre haft et lignende problem.

Tak Lindbjerg Jeg bøvler stadig med problemet og vært af alt - det er et periodisk problem.... Apple har været på sagen, men slår ud med armene... Heine (indigo2) har gravet frem til, at det må være indstillingen af buffer der skal eksperimenteres med... Så er mit spørgsmål: hvor sætter men den i en BiaB Mac version 2016? Dbh Stefan
Hej Stefan Jeg har faktisk svaret i foregående post. Det jeg kalder "latency" er afhængig af bufferstørrelsen, som indstilles i lydkortet. Fejlen kan næsten ikke være i BIAB, - det må simpelt hen være lydkortet. Dog lyder det mystisk at fejlen er periodisk. Har du et antivirusprogram kørende eller andre programmer, som kører i baggrunden, som stjæler opmærksomheden. Du har en meget kraftig computer, som skulle afspille BIAB uden problemer ved enhver bufferstørrelse. Venlig hilsen Lindbjerg

Hej Lindberg Det er lidt af en klemme jeg er kommet i... ZOOM siger at deres lydkort ikke kan justeres i buffer. Det gør man i programmerne... PG-Music siger at man ikke kan justere buffer i MAC versionen, som man kan i Windows versionen... Apple henviser til software (BiaB) eller lydkort Hardware (ZOOM)... Jeg sidder med et studie setup der - når det passer "systemet" laver kliklyde i mine optagelse/gengivelser... Med andre ord: det er noget "pølse", men det er sandelig ikke første gang jeg er ladt i stikken af den "moderne teknik".... Hvor var verden dog nemmere dengang spillemænd gik rundt i gårderne og folk kaste mønte ned til dem...

PS. ZOOM siger at man ikke kan stille i lydkortet, men at det skal gøres i musi program softwaren (BiaB) - og nej det kan heller ikke gøres via ZOOM's software MixEfx...

Hej Stefan Man har undertiden en genvej i programmerne, som åbner lydkortets software, men man kan IKKE stille buffer i programmer, - hverken i Windows eller Mac, så PGMusic har ret. Hvis der ikke er software til at kontrollere buffer er det - undskyld jeg siger det, - et skod lydkort! Lydkort er jo blevet rigtig billige, så et par tusinde for at slippe for alle dine frustrationer er vel ikke så slemt, når nu musik er ens lidenskab? Der er rigtig mange gode lydkort til en billig penge. Jeg har rigtig gode erfaringer med Steinbergs UR serie. De har bl.a en funktion, som gør det muligt at Streame lyden fra computeren direkte.

Hej - Jeg prøver også at hjælpe Stefan ved siden af dette forum. Jeg har et par spørgsmål (til Peder).
Band-in-a-Box' Freeze-funktion er ikke det samme, som man ser i fx. Cubase og andre DAW's, vel? Kunne man forestille sig at Freeze ville hjælpe på Stefans problemer med knas i optagelserne? Eller er Freeze bare en hurtigere måde at komme i gang med playback (en forberedelse til playback)? Altså, når først playback går i gang, så er det vel lige hårdt (eller let) for computeren, hvad enten man har brugt Freeze eller ej, ikke? Og dermed burde det ikke påvirke audiooptagelsen om Freeze er slået til eller fra.
Ellers vil jeg foreslå Stefan at eksportere sangen som Wav-filer fra Band-in-a-Box til et andet program som fx. Logic Pro X og så lave audio-optagelsen dér, da der ikke er problemer med lydkortet med andre programmer end Band-in-a-Box.

Hej Heine Jo, BIAB's freeze funktion er magen til den, man finder i andre programmer. Funktionen aflaster ikke programmet, men bruges til at gemme en stemme eller en solo, som man synes er særlig vellykket.
Det er heller ikke en hurtigere måde, da man blot skal trykke "Play/Spil", når man vil afspille en allerede genereret sang. Når man trykker "Play" afspiller sangen øjeblikkeligt! Man kan selvfølgeligt eksportere til et andet program som Cubase eller Logic, og det er da også tilrådeligt, hvis man vil lave gode audioindspilninger. BIAB hovedstyrke ligger ikke i at optage hverken audio eller MIDI. Men, en eksport løser jo ikke det grundlæggende problem med BIAB. Med den computer som S er i besiddelse af skulle BIAB køre fuldstændigt uden problemer. Jeg vil råde ham til at prøve at låne et andet lydkort, hvor man kan indstiller bufferen.

Problemet opstår stadig sporadisk, og tingene kører udmærket, når jeg benytter mit USB eksterne lydkort. Så min analyse peger på en eller ande konflikt i Thunderbolt håndteringen. Inden længe vover jeg en opdatering fra El Capitan til Sierra på min Mac, og så får vi se, om alt den snak jeg har haft med Apple om problemet, om det er kommet ud i udviklerregi... Alle involverede parter BiaB, Apple og Zoom bruger meget energi på at beskylde modparten for årsag til problemet... Jeg tror jeg køber mig en spolebåndoptager!
Jeg opdaterer Jer lige på problemet... der nu er løst! Det viste sig, at det var Apple der måtte til skafottet og udskifte "motherboard" på min MAC... Hvor kan man dog bruge meget tid, til at få indrømmelser fra Hardware producenter... :-( Jeg takke alle involverede for deres tips og medfølelse.
