Hi Danny,

That's great news! I hope that all is progressing well for your daughter, too.

I can feel with your neighbors that have been hit and I'm happy that you have been spared.

Not being hit by the flood is always great news. Sometimes an inch more elevation can save you.

(My family comes from and lives in Passau, Germany. The last flood in 2013 was surprisingly high. The waterlevel of the river Danube was about 7.5 meters, 24.5 feet, higher than normal. The picture shows an area in the city center: http://www.wochenblatt.de/storage/scl/diashows/passau/archivpawo/2013/jahrtausendhochwasser_ii/497353_m3w900h600q75v19545_ri17-16455-160387-20130603---7599--17_7599_160387_RGB_1660.jpg
The little street to the left leads down to the river Danube.)

Really good news Danny. We'll keep your neighbors in our thoughts and prayers. They will still be dealing with this long after the waters recede.

Are there any news from other forum members who live in those areas? IIRC there are three or four others members living in the area.

OK, a random thought;
Why does toilet paper need a commercial? Who's not buying it?

As far as I know, there are only 3 PG people in this area, Danny, me and Russell. I not sure exactly where Danny lives, but I live in Baker which is the north side of Baton Rouge. Russell lives in DeVille, about a 3 of 4 drive north east of my home.

I've read that Mario survived without too much damage.

Our house and my studio both went under. Our property has never flooded, but it happened so fast we didn't have time to save anything. Within a span of 5 to 10 minutes we went from dry to waist deep water in our house and rising fast. That's when we decided to move our focus from trying to save our trappings to trying to save our lives. We jumped in our vehicle and headed up the driveway, but once we reached the end of the driveway and onto the road, that's when we realized we were trapped, with no way out. Helicopters showed up almost 4 days later and began airlifting the stranded people, but by that time the water had quit rising and was beginning to wane. We suffered total devastation, but thank God we're both still alive to tell about it.

I haven't heard from Russell and have no way of contacting him, so I don't know how much damage he may have suffered, but I pray he and his family are all okay.

I'm glad that you and your family are safe. That is all that really matters!

I survived with no damage because I live in upper western New York State. I know Danny personally and I knew others lived in Louisiana so I was praying that all were safe.
