Hi

These are three problems that I've been trying to nut out. First, I want to run a mix out from my audio interface, a Zoom UAC 2. The tech guys at the store sold me a cable for the outputs of the UAC 2 and stupidly I believed them. As I suspected the cable doesn't work when there is video involved on the Android. It only works if I am using an audio recording programme on the Android. There must be something in the android headphone socket that shuts off audio cables when you do video. I also tried using a plug with 3 lines on it, part of a video connector (red, white and yellow), but that didn't work.

Second, what mic should I use to switch off the internal mike on the Android for mobile shows. I'm thinking the IK Multimedia Condenser mic which uses a USB interface (I think), but will it work with my Android? The packaging says yes for Android 5. I'm on 6. The shop says no, but what do they know! Also it's about $100 US as opposed to $11 for the cable which I'll take back. A lot of cash if it doesn't work at all or consistently.

Anyone got an idea for either of these. No way, I'm soldering cables and capacitors etc. grin Way out of my skill zone.

Finally, can I send global midi time codes (beats per minute for songs in BIAB), for delays etc to my effects units from Band in a box? I'm sending patch changes and cc commands to my NOVA and Voicelive 2 with little problem.

There's probably more questions.....
