Using Band-in-a-Box as a teaching tool? You can quickly make a chord sheet in Band-in-a-Box (Windows) that allows you to practice repetitive patterns through all 12 keys!
Start by entering 4 bars in any key...
Cm7 | F7 | Bbj (j is the shortcut for Maj7!) In measure 5, type K4 to repeat the last 4 bars.
Then highlight all 8 bars, hold down CTRL, and drag from 1A to bar 9.
A dialog will appear where you can set "# of times to repeat copy" to 11 and "with each copy, transpose... 5... semitones".
Press ok and you will have a 96 bar song that takes the 2-5-1 progression through all 12 keys!
Hi Alyssa. We discussed this feature in a few other threads, where I suggested doing this in answer to a request. But when I tested it, it didn't seem to work without a few glitches. Has that been fixed? Thanks.

This does work, but when you highlight the section and hit control you have to hover and click over the BLUE space (bar beginning) at the beginning of 1A and then drag to 9. Don't click inside the bar.
Alyssa, it seems like only 2 1/2 years ago I called and you picked up the phone at 6:15 a.m. Canadian time and I said "Tell me about that $99 2014 Basic Pak I might try to figure out if I can pester the living daylights out of tech support 24/7."
My how time flies.

In Band-in-a-Box 2016 this feature works flawlessly for me. However, if you can point me towards these older threads (or explain what is happening for you during testing) I can certainly do some troubleshooting!

That's a very good point David, thank you! I wasn't very clear in my original instructions. You always need to click on and drag to the measure number (or part marker).

I was doing this feature, to transpose X steps each time, via the menu option (I think it's in Practice) and doing it on the whole song (each Chris). I will try this specific highlighting method.
