First let me say BIAB is an amazing program which I have had since it was DOS .... I am often frustrated by obvious gaps in American Music Styles ... the basics that 90% + of all subsequent American 'popular' music rests upon ... eg ... the different areas that blues developed from ... basic New Orleans/Texas Barrel House/St Louis/Kansas/Chicago ... that is a historical progression ... THe early soul styles once again it always seems to start in New Orleans ... Philly/Motown/Memphis etc. get those styles down .. hire the right people who know exactly that feel ... me pressing on suggested style for The Band's THe Weight was laughable .. I made it happen with experimentation .. and my latest frustration Fellahs>!!! A basic Bo Diddley style playing Bo Diddley ... it is basic New Orleans 2nd line beat (which you do not have in the 2 New Orleans styles) ... Kick goes ... Ba ba Ba ... Ba Snare ... listen to THe Neville Bros Fiyo on the Biyo ... Herman V. Ernest 3 holding down the drums ... This is a beat that shows up everywhere ... even Ozzy Osbourne's 'See you on the otherside' from his album 'Ozzmosis' uses it to great effect ... my frustration arose again trying to find backup for Elvis Presley's early song, 'His Latest Flame'that has that same beat ... come on fellahs it's a simple song!! ... hire me .. (40 year veteran Audio engineer ... 17 in New Orleans) ... I'll sort y'all out and fill in those gaping musical gaps ...
