I have easily deleted/removed sections from tracks with Audacity.
Highlight section .... hit delete and it's gone (or copy, etc...)
Have not figured how to do this with Realband.
Please tell me how simple it is.

Did you try Edit>Cut or Ctrl+X?
I'm not at home so can't check.
It should ask you if you want to leave or keep the gap.

In the Tracks and Audio Edit Windows, you have a Right Click Menu which gives access to the Delete, Cut and Paste functions.

Thanks for the replys.
I can use " Edit-Cut " .... but it does not remove the section that I
have highlighted.
It may remove the music that was in that section,
but it does not remove the section.
I have some MP3's that may have 5 or 6 seconds of silence before the music
starts .... I want to remove some of these empty sections.
I know I can do it with Audacity .... can RB do this ?
In "track" window .... right clicking gives no menu with
delete, cut, paste.

When you go to cut check the radio button "close Gap"

Silvertones nailed it.
When you use the 'cut' feature a pop-up occurs. In this window you decide whether to leave the gap of silence or close the gap.
I do not work here, but the benefits are still awesome

but I was in too much a hurry to pay attention.
LynB ... I do not have del-cut-paste in my right click menu on track section.

Nope. Been here since v1. One little note. When cutting, copying or pasting audio if you don't use the SNAP feature. It's never going to work right.

I disagree with that (the SNAP feature part).
There are many times when an audio track phrase is not aligned to snap ...
Just sayin'
If it was created with MIDI and quantized what you say would be true, but for a lot of my recordings the only MIDI is the click track.
It will likely help to know about that feature, but at times it may cut off a bit of what you want!
The key (to me) is making sure to pay attention to the numbers in the from-thru section when cutting/pasting/copying and make sure to use the same start number as the paste point.
Example -you want a phrase from measure 10 copied to measure 27-
copy the phrase (example 10-1-112 thru 1-4-111) making sure to paste it at 27-1-112 (the exact same time in the measure so it doesn't lose the timing and feel).
The issue is that it depends on exactly what it is you want to use; may not always be full measures.
If it IS full measures or beats then using the SNAP or even the Bars window is convenient.
The Bars window makes copying sections of a song (multiple tracks) very easy and convenient.
