Hi all,
We've had a number of calls and emails this year from customers wondering how to change the registered serial number in their Windows Band-in-a-Box 2016 program after exchanging for a larger package. This is important if you are trying to use the Download Manager to install, as it determines which links to provide based on the serial number entered.
To change the serial number registered in Band-in-a-Box 2016, do the following:
With Band-in-a-Box closed, please go into your bb folder and find a folder called "Tickets Activated". Open the text document called "Band-in-a-Box_SerialNumber_bb2016_full".
Delete the old serial number and type in your new serial: xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx.
Save that file.
Then go into C:\Users\Public\Ticket
Open the text document called "Band-in-a-Box_SerialNumber_bb2016_full"
Delete the old serial number and type in your new serial: xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx.
Save that file and re-open Band-in-a-Box.
