I am running BB and RB on two monitors. When I select the StylePicker in RealBand, the box comes up on monitor number 2 (behind me, on the piano -- most annoying). I have to drag it back to the main monitor (#1) with the mouse. BB doesn't do this -- the StylePicker comes up where it is supposed to -- on monitor #1. Unless I am missing something obvious (entirely possible), this looks like a bug, and should be easy to fix.

I have tried a free utility for dual monitors, called DisplayFusion, which basically works, but requires a bunch of keystrokes which sort of defeats the purpose -- and adds more resident SW to my already burdened machine. (Quad core 2.40 HP, Vista 64-bit Home Premium, HP W2408 wide monitor, Dell D1626HT monitor, big HDs, single nVidia Geoforce 9300 card, M-Audio 2496.)

I think I saw a thread about this earlier this year, but can't find it... Any help is appreciated.

Brad

Hey i have 2 monitors and it come up on the left hand one No. 1
in display properties have a look what one is set as primary display, then you can drag them to the position you want and you can unlock and move the taskbar and icons.
Also try UltraMon: http://www.realtimesoft.com/ultramon/

Thanks for your reply, musocity.

Yes, I understand about the #1 and #2 monitors... my programs are set for monitor #1, the bigger, main desktop. The problem is that the STYLEPICKER box in RB comes up on Monitor #2. It doesn't do this in BB.

I know about ULtramon. Just don't want to spend $40 for what is only a minor irritation. Which I suspect might be a bug. Does your RB stylepicker come up on monitor #1?

Yes it comes up on Monitor 1, that is why i thought it might not be set in display properties to be "Primary Monitor" you can try and disable monitor 2 in display settings, restart, start RB, then enable monitor 2 again. Or try and swap the monitor leads on the video card if both are the same type
connector then setup again in display settings.
I think you should be able to sort that out, i have used 2 or more monitors on a lot of pc's
and there is usually a way around it.

Yes, Yes -- I got it. It took all of five minutes to de-select monitor two, boot RB and stylepicker, re-select monitor two, re-boot system to make sure the fix "stuck," and re-test. Works now as it should.

Thanks so much. These things are always (usually) simple once the job is done. I had thought I had "tried everything." Obviously not.
