Without the specs for the Dell, I'm not sure that it is a PATA drive, however, using the information from your original like, I'm assuming it is.
I would also have to assume that the drive that was included in the CMS package would be a PATA drive, and the enclosure is a PATA drive enclosure.
The best thing to do is on the bottom of the laptop, there will be a Service ID number, and a couple of other numbers. Go to Dells website, and look for the Support information, it'll tell you what numbers you want to look at. Each of those numbers corresponds to your computer, and when you put it in, it will give you all the information about your computer.
If you would like to post that number, or PM it to me, go ahead, and I can verify that the stuff I'm telling you is correct.
