I do not think the mixer has anything to do with it. If your problems started with the new mixer, that's likely a coincidence. I suspect your laptop, either hardware or software running on it.

Windows or Mac? And what version operating system?
What version of BIAB?
What kind of laptop, and what is the soundcard?
