J&B - Much appreciated - I`m probably a bit old school in lyric style, preferring songs that can be read as poems too, so thanks for mentioning that.
Greg - Thank you for this. I believe in the wisdom of your ears and after a break from listening to the song I tend to agree with you ( and Floyd), that the piano is intrusive. I `m going to try taking it back into the mix and see how that sounds.
Alyn - Thanks for your listen and comments. I haven`t listened to Ralph Mctell ( fantastic guitarist!) for years, but you`re right, it does have the feel of his songs.

First of all, a very good song, nice lyrics! Love the flute (tin whistle?), really makes the song. But most of all, I love your vocal! Great tone and timber to your voice.

Many thanks for your listen and kind comments - I find having to listen to my own voice so much doing these productions uncomfortable at first, but its helping to discover a more relaxed style.
I think that whistle is tin... but Irish whistles are a mixed bag of materials, so could be wooden.
