Great news Donny.

I also use the VA and have zero issues with them. In fact a good friend who's a retired doctor also uses the West LA VA and I asked him some years ago why he goes there and not private because he certainly can afford it. His answer? The best doctors all work at the VA. I don't know about all VA's but the LA one is right across the freeway from the UCLA Med Center and a lot of the VA doc's wear UCLA lab coats and id's. And the majority are cute young ladies. You have to be a genius with perfect scores to get into med school regardless of gender so I don't care about that but it sure is different from 30 years ago especially when you're there for a full body derm exam...

My only issue with them is not me personally, it's all the young vets who are there now. They do not get lifetime access that us older guys got. Even with service connected injuries most get 5 years of access and that's it. I'm sure the more severe cases get more than that but still, for my era all you needed was to be in the service during wartime, it didn't matter if you were actually assigned to the war zone or not.
