Well, I know the kids nowadays might not believe it, but ...
I do remember having to put an actual paper check, into a real genuine paper envelope and gluing stamps to the front of it.
Then, I would hand it to another human being, at the post office, who would see that it went all the way to New York (back when you guys were still there).
After that, I would keep a daily vigil by my mailbox for the next 6-8 weeks.
It is hard to describe to younger folks the excitement that you felt, when that envelope full of floppy disks with the latest BIAB version arrived.
The anticipation can not be described !
"Don't bother me for the next 12 hours, the new BIAB is here."

Of course we did have the internet, but with 2400 baud modems, all it was good for was printing out the PG upgrade order form.
Wow, am I really that old ?
