I got Kontakt for half prices also so wait for a sale. Until then or in place of you might want to get the free Kontakt 5 Player. You can play patches but you can not do much else, but maybe that is all that you need. Kontakt 5 Player patches will play in Kontakt 5 but not visa-versa. So when purchasing patches make absolutely sure that they will play in the Player. Many third party patches will play in the Player.
