"With RealBand 2016 you can render an audio track (a highlighted section or the whole track) as a .WAV file and save it to the UserTracks folder!
To use this feature in RealBand, select a track or a section of the track and go to menu Render | Save as UserTracks (highlighted section or whole track). This will open the Save as UserTracks dialog. If you are creating a new UserTracks, select the "Create new UserTracks" option and type in the new name. If you want to add to the existing UserTracks folder, select the "Add to Existing UserTracks" option and press the [Choose Folder Name…] button.
UserTracks allow you to create your own audio styles - you can make your own RealTracks! And, just like RealTracks, UserTracks will play with that chord progression! For example, if you've made your own UserTrack by recording yourself playing a guitar groove, you can then type any chords into Band-in-a-Box, and the result will be that it will play your guitar groove over these completely new, original chord changes! "
This was posted by Callie about the 2016 BIAB Has the 2016 method of creating user tracks been refined so that a smaller sample of audio can produce a greater chord range than previous versions. The older template asked for a larger set of chords to make a better RT or is this wishful thinking on my part. I was considering some of the audio files of the Chapman Stick for a template.

Look in the RealTracks folders how much recording there is. The more you put in the better results. At the moment UTs transpose too much as it is to compensate for short usertracks. I think they made it this way so users would not be put off by having to record a lot of material that realtrack artist are paid to do to make good realtracks. So they are trying to put an option in like realtracks have "Don't Transpose RealTracks" to get better quality from longer usertracks, otherwise it just over transposes them and a guitar will sound like a mandolin in places. RealTracks have the advantage over loops as there is so more diversity to choose from when generating. If you use just a few chords in the usertrack recording it won't sound much better than using loops.

I was hoping so newer technology had evolved to allow for more transposing. Just looking in the candy store window again Wyndham

Transposing by itself is half the picture with music. Hand position and fingering is the other half.
I assume you play something.
Take a tune and play it in G. Then play it in Bb. The actual chord changes are the same just taken up a minor third BUT are you using the same hand and finger positions, the same chord inversions? Now take it down to D. How about now? Same chord inversions and hand positions?
Probably not which is why simply taking an RT and transposing it won't always sound good because it's not how a real player would do it in that key. Your whole playing technique can change when you transpose something. This is another reason why a pro RT is recorded three or even four times to account for that. It's not just to help with audio artifacts.
