Eddie, my favorite axe of yours right now is the Nord Electro 4 - I'm VERY jealous of that my friend. However, I do get to play on our church's Hammond M3, with it's internal speaker bypassed and into a GSi Burn Leslie simulator. The only thing it doesn't have that would be cool is some presets. In between songs I have to quickly change registrations if there's a big difference. I played the first generation Electro and haven't been able to get it out of my head since!

Fender Mustang (made in Japan..."surf & twang")
1986 Fernandes LE-1 Strat (from same factory as Fenders...built to '62 specs)
1999 Danelectro 56-U3 (nothing like the sound of plywood & fiberglass)
PRS SE Custom Semi-Hollow (selling this one...the wife says we're running out of room!)
Heritage Sweet 16 (a so "sweet" jazz box)
1970's Martin M-38 (if the house was on fire I'd grab this one first)
Ibanez AVN-5 Parlor Guitar (my new favorite child...set up for slide)
Garcia Classical (made in Japan with a fake Spanish name...I sold a 1969 Fender sunburst Strat back in the 1970's to buy this, so I keep it around just to remind me to never to do a stupid thing like that again!)

Ha...."a few".

How do you like that Ibanez Artcore AS73....how does it feel/play?
They look pretty good to me and reasonably priced.

Here's my meager submissions....truly, just a few. smile

I'd love to hear more of that story, Herb. Pretty unusual for Lassie to find her way home even once.

Seconding the story request laugh

About 2 years ago Sweetwater was blowing these out for under $300 each. Stock they come with 9 pup combinations. I added a switch into the cover of the electronics cavity that turns on the tail pup that provides 4 more combinations. Cost to do that was under 5$. I would do the same to any 5-position switch guitar I ever obtain in the future without hesitation. Instantly gives a tele middle position sound of any standard strat.

I love it. It's actually a jazz box, but I put lighter strings on it and use it as an ersatz 335. grin

Looking around the room none of them are rare or vintage models from left to right:

A Fender Dobro
A "Mustang" Dove Copy (it's old though must fix tuning peg)
A Suzuki Deadnought 1970's surprisingly ok to play
An Aria Classical
An Art Lutherie Acoustic (a bit average..)
A Takamine 12 String
A Martinez Lap Steel
A Mandolin
2 Ukuleles
A Ibanez Roadstar (anybody know where to get a bridge replacement - probably have enough without it?)
A Black Fender Stratocaster 1990's
A Blonde Fender Telecaster (plays and sounds real nice)1980's
A Baby Taylor (good for taking on trips)
A Epiphone SG (set up for slide)
A James Tyler Variax (there is one of the old ones around somewhere as well)
A Gretsch Electromatic
A Taylor Nylon String (nicer to play than the Aria)
A Taylor 414 (nice guitar)
A Sunburst Fender Stratocaster (gets a lot of use) about 12 months old
A Les Paul Gibson (looks really nice heavy though) around 2013
Another beat up old classical guitar 1970's
A Bass in it's case (rarely opened)
A Banjo ukulele

My wife thinks I have too many??? (she particularly dislikes the cases) Oh yeah and there is a couple in my son's room that I gave to him.

The above post mentions a heavy guitar, maybe its just me or I am getting older, but if I pick up a guitar especially a solid body and it feels too heavy I want to forget about it straight away.

I just prefer a lighter guitar.

That is why when I got older I had to sell my 18 lb Carvin Double Neck.

Sheesh....'18 lb's'!
My Ibanez Tele is 7.5#.

Back in '78 during my live band days a band member had a Kramer to play with for a while.
Although only single neck THAT was another heavy muther. smile
Played well, felt beefy and durable but also a bit unbalanced when compared to other axes.

The Artcore line is insanely good value, IMO. So versatile with typical Ibanez ruggedness, and way way way underpriced for how they perform.

Was the second neck made out of uranium?!? I can't image draping 18 lbs over my neck for a gig shocked

I have Gibson tastes, but an Ibanez budget. grin

This guitar will cry, scream or rock. I play it through a Classic 30, and it sings!

I always told myself not to collect a lot of guitars. Just keep it down to the ones you play.

So here are the boys I play. Couple more in the closet, but I don't tell the wife about those.

Ha...I can relate to that.

When I picked up my Ibanez Tele Silver Series, I agonized (just a bit) over whether buying an Ibanez tele vs. Fender would be a hasty purchase I might regret.
(I think it was during the Fender lawsuit days but don't quote me on that)
But...the price was right, Fender was above my budget and I did need an electric as it was during my live band decade.

As it turned out, I'm quite happy with it.
I do wonder if it has maintained any real value today almost (4) decades later.

Oh....Gibson tends to be out of my budget too. smile

Back to it....

CRS struck again. It actually weighed 10 lbs at the start of the night but 18 lbs during the last song. Sorry for the misinformation.

CArvin double neck

202 New RealTracks Released with Band-in-a-Box 2026!

With Band-in-a-Box® 2026, we've released 202 incredible new RealTracks (in sets 468-488) in a variety of genres—featuring your most requested styles!

Jazz, Funk & World (Sets 468-475):
Our new jazz, funk & blues RealTracks include a groovin’ collection of RealTracks and RealDrums! These include more requested “soul jazz” RealTracks featuring artists Neil Swainson (bass), Charles Treadway (organ), Brent Mason (guitar), and Wes Little (drums). There are new “smooth jazz” styles (4), which include a RealTracks first: muted trumpet, as well as slick new smooth jazz brushes options for drums. Blues lovers will be thrilled—there are more “classic acoustic blues” styles, including guitar (5), bass (4), and drums (10) with blues master Colin Linden, featuring understated and tasty background acoustic soloing, plus brushes drums and acoustic bass. There are also new electric blues RealTracks, including electric blues with PG favorite Johnny Hiland (3) and soulful electric slide guitar from Colin Linden (4). If you love funk & gospel, there are great new options this year, including gospel organ (3) from Charles Treadway, as well as new funk, tango, and rock ’n’ roll drums (3) and bass (1). And for big, bold arrangements, we have uptempo soul horns (4) featuring a three-part hip horn section with options for a full mix or stems of each individual horn — plus an accompanying rhythm section (4) of drums, bass, guitar, and electric piano!

Rock & Pop (Sets 476–482):
Our new rock & pop RealTracks bring a powerful mix of requested favorites, fresh genres, and modern chart-inspired styles! We have more of our popular “Producer Layered Acoustic Guitars (15)” featuring Band-in-a-Box favorite Brent Mason. We’ve continued our much-requested disco styles (10), and added new Celtic guitar (5) with a more basic, accessible approach than our previous Drop-D or DADGAD offerings. There are also highly requested yacht rock styles (17), inspired by the smooth, polished soft-rock sound of the late ’70s and early ’80s — laid-back grooves, silky electric pianos, warm textures, elegant harmonic movement, and pristine production aesthetics. Fans of heavier styles will love our new glam metal (13), capturing the flashy, high-energy sound of ’80s arena-ready guitar rock. We also have a set of rootsy modern-folk rock (18), with a warm, organic sound combining contemporary folk textures and driving acoustic strumming. And we’ve added lots of new modern pop styles (16) — the kinds of sounds you’re hearing on the radio today, featuring exciting new drums, synths, and cutting-edge RealTracks arrangements.

Country, & Americana (Sets 483–488):
Our new country & Americana RealTracks deliver a rich collection of acoustic, electric, and roots-inspired styles! We have new country pop (9) with legendary guitarist Brent Mason. There is also a potpourri (14) of bouzouki, guitars, banjo, and more, perfect for adding texture and character to contemporary acoustic arrangements. We’ve added funky country guitar (5) with PG favorite Brent Mason, along with classic pedal steel styles (5) featuring steel great Doug Jernigan. There are more country songwriter styles (8) that provide intimate, rootsy foundations for storytelling and modern Americana writing. Finally, we have “background soloing” acoustic guitar (12) with Brent Mason — simpler, but still very tasty acoustic lines designed to sit beautifully behind vocals or act as a subtle standalone solo part.

Check out all the 202 new RealTracks (in sets 468-488)!

And, if you are looking for more, the 2026 49-PAK (for $49) includes an impressive collection of 20 bonus RealTracks, featuring exciting and inspiring additions to add to your RealTracks library. You'll get new country-rhythm guitar styles from PG Music favorites Johnny Hiland and Brent Mason, along with modern-pop grooves that capture today’s radio-ready sound! There are also new indie-folk styles with guitar, bass, 6-string bass used as a high-chording instrument, acoustic guitar, and banjo. Plus, dedicated "cymbal fills" RealDrums provide an added layer that work very well with low-key folky styles with other percussion.
