I’m sure this topic has been discussed, but … I love PowerTracks. I’ve been using it for as long as I can remember. I’m currently running PowerTracks Version 2015(2) and Band in a Box Version 2008 (255) on my old PC running XP. About a year ago, I took it off line - too many crashes and virus’. Everyone advised me to go to Mac and I did. I still work, almost daily, with PowerTracks (on XP) but now that the PC is not online it is more difficult. I may have an opportunity to purchase a laptop that’s running Windows 10. Before I do, I want to be sure that I can transfer the programs and files and that I can continue use both PT and BinaB. There some conflicting info on line, some say that to transfer it is required to purchase specialized ‘transfer’ software and others sources say that there are other problems associated with the process. Info, Recommendations, suggestions appreciated.

You copy c:\pt c:\bb c:\RealBand to the win10 hard drive,
in the pt or bb or RealBand folder the is pgdx_plug_2_0_0.exe run that.
Install K-Lite codec to give mp3 export.

If you purchased your PowerTracks 2015 directly from us, we can also issue you a fresh download to install this version on to your new computer (or you could order replacement DVDs for installation).

Thanks, I did purchase PowerTtacks (and BinaB) from PG ... didn't get the laptop yet. It does not have windows 10, rather it has w7. It was strongly recommended that I upgrade to at least 8. When I actually have it in my hands, I'll inquire about the download.
