Thank you Paddy for such a very positive comment! We are very flattered ;-) Leonard Cohen's level of songwriting and deepness of the lyrics are unparalleled. But it's not just his most well-known songs. My favorites are the less known ones like: Avalanche and Dress rehearsal rag These are both his most dark and cynical songs ever. But man, those lyrics...... Not many people know that he developed a unique (and very fast) fingerpicking style that is a combination of American fingerpicking and flamenco. Among others he does that on Avalanche but also on The Partisan. I found it a challenge to learn this style many years ago. It took me about a year to master it, but not nearly as perfect as he did it. You can hear my attempt here Cohen was the best singer-songwriter ever, in my opinion. Rob

You are right, there should be more Spanish real tracks.
Preferably some picking styles of Cohen, or even some real flamenco picking styles ;-)

Just wanted to point out there were lots of Canadian soldiers there too. My mother in law is Dutch, her town was liberated by Canadian soldiers.

Hi Dave, Thanks for your positive response! We already included the Canadians in the original post. Which by the way resulted in a lot of children with Canadian fathers, who didn't stay in the Netherlands. Lots of them started looking for their father, when they grew up  Rob and Anne-Marie

Hi Rob and Anne-Marie, I'm listening to "Suzanne" at the moment. It's absolutely beautiful. The mix is crystal clear on my system. Rob, your singing is superb and Anne-Marie your multi-layered background vocals are a perfect fit. The sound that two of you create is stunning. I agree wholeheartedly with Gibson. This is a very fitting tribute to those who've given us the freedom that so many of us enjoy today. I love the relaxing, restful sound of the instrumental.
