As stated above, we plan on a toggle switch to change notation display from 4/4 to 12/8. This won't change how the music is played, or the tempo. Just change how it is notated and printed. Presumably this will not mean the entire song but to provide the ability to change the display only for the bars that are to be notated in 6/8 etc. The entire song might be in 6/8, but may also have a mixture of time signatures, i.e. there can be time signature changes within the song (which is normal and accepted practice for music notation).
