Dear BIAB developers,

As you might know, Apple Inc. rapidly updates their operating system macOS each and every year. Recently, as I'm an Apple Developer, I've noticed that Apple started to get rid of some of the old technologies that are built-in to macOS, like deprecated JAVA 6. Soon they might do the same with technologies used to build Band in a Box. I'm talking about Carbon API. This API was built to provide an easy transition from Mac OS 9 to Mac OS X. And from then on, every single release of BIAB till the latest one has been built using this API. Apple has deprecated this API 5 years ago and soon it will be dropped completely from macOS.

So it's 2016 and it's time for you developers to transition BIAB over to the latest Apple's API called Cocoa. Cocoa takes advantage over the latest hardware and software. Users will benefit from stuff like 64-bit support, HIDPI or Retina support for the high-resolution displays. Generally, app will run much faster with no crashes. And it allows you to easily build the apps for all Apple platforms like macOS, iOS, tvOS and watchOS. We Users are ready to pay for such an update to BIAB.

Are there any plans for doing so? Thank you
