Thank you for sharing these tracks.
Your Suzanne is a welcome and fine tribute to Leonard Cohen- very nice guitar accompaniment and clear, warm vocals.
I enjoyed the dreamlike quality of the melody on Independence- a perfect vehicle for the guitar RT. The video is good- where is the artwork from?
For some reason its tricky to view the videos full screen.

Thank you Rob for your comments that I show some versatility with my song writing.
The arrangement and musical skills you used with this posting for Independence Day needs to be embellished no further than to use the term “masterful, The video depicted the war of independence. The music spoke to the heart and reflected the sadness and futility of 'all wars, it spoke through the generations
But now we also talking of versatility you also post your cover of Leonard Cohen’s Suzanne a artist whose work I know you loved and was a great influence in your musical journey
And you sing it like I want to hear it again,, and again.
Those words, those subtle shifts in the chord structure He is smiling down on you for doing him so much justice.
No my friend, if you wish to talk of ‘versatility, look no further than what you have just posted as being a classic example of that.

Beautiful job on "Suzanne". Super job of creating a video (lip-syncing, I assume...). There need to be some nylon fingerpicking RTs like that!!!

Just wanted to point out there were lots of Canadian soldiers there too. My mother in law is Dutch, her town was liberated by Canadian soldiers.

Rob, Beautiful – both pieces. The Cohen was fantastic! Loved “Independence” as well. You know, the Dutch arrived on these shores in 1624 and set up a little trading post. We call it “New York City” now.  Regards, Bob

Thank you Robert,
I got the artwork for Independence from a very old public domain movie I downloaded years ago.
I then mashed it and mixed it, took me about two hours.
It was also in the time that we first purchased MoviePlus X5, a very good video editor for a very reasonable price.

Loved both!! Instrumental is beautiful. Reminds me of Bruce Cockburn. And the Suzanne cover is outstanding. I LOVE that song. Great job with conveying the beauty of it. You should check out James Taylor's version if you haven't yet. Great stuff!! Take care. Greg
