Leonard Cohen's level of songwriting and deepness of the lyrics are unparalleled.
But it's not just his most well-known songs. My favorites are the less known ones like:

Avalanche
and
Dress rehearsal rag

These are both his most dark and cynical songs ever. But man, those lyrics......

Not many people know that he developed a unique (and very fast) fingerpicking style that is a combination of American fingerpicking and flamenco. Among others he does that on Avalanche but also on The Partisan.
I found it a challenge to learn this style many years ago. It took me about a year to master it, but not nearly as perfect as he did it. You can hear my attempt here

Cohen was the best singer-songwriter ever, in my opinion.
