In the past I've simply keyed in solos myself and created my own solo track. but I now need a smoky solo sax which would be beyond my capabilities. So I'm exploring the soloist in BIAB.

I was encouraged via this forum, when I started, to avoid worrying about repeats etc, and simply create my song as one long file with all the verses and choruses after each other.

But this seems to raise a problem with the soloist. The only options I can find are to apply the soloist to the first, second or last choruses. Since my file isn't divided into choruses, then how do I apply it to a particular section (My instrumental section - the third out of four verses+choruses [I use chorus here not in the BIAB sense, but as it would normally be applied to the chorus of a song])?

I suppose I could take the leap and use "fold" to make it work with BIAB's style, but I've never done this, and I'm not sure how I tell the program where my "choruses" are - and what do I do with my verses? Otherwise, there may be a workaround - perhaps a more experienced user knows how to apply the soloist just to a specific series of bars?

Help appreciated.
