How are you trying this?

If I click Generate - Generate RealTrack, and the window pops up to select a RT, and the Play button in this window (for the preview) works here.

Are you using this route or some other?
FWIW if I double click the RealTrack in this window, RB does indeed generate it, which is what I would expect.
