Great Duet!
As Peter said, lots of skill in that one - beautiful phrasing and harmonizing - you make it sound so easy.
The tight and solid drums are so pleasant.
A positive feel good song.

Hi Floyd and Janice, A song with a commercial potential  This shows in the song structure, the bridge, and especially the choruses, which sound like typical commercial pop country. And by "commercial" we mean GOOD! Good heavens! I never thought I'd appear in anything commercial. At last  Thank you!! Janice floyd, Janice and Bud, you two go together like country and western. THIS IS COUNTRY AS IT SHOULD BE Sun's out, doors open, volume is at 11 AND I got a response from a neighbour at last She asked if it was me singing HAHAHA. I wish  beautiful I totally agree what BlueAttitude (Dave) wrote Love the vocals, especially Janice, there is something about the way she phrases that always gets to me. time for another play well done floyd and Janice, oh yeh and Bud! great stuff Alyn Alyn, thank you so much!! Excellent! Love the blend of your voices as well as the individual parts. Great song and mix as well. Loved it!

What a great uplifting duet. Your voices blend so perfectly together.
Bud also did a great job on Janice's vocal.
All rounded off with a perfectly recorded RT band. Especially love the solid drum sound.

A great write AGAIN. Some great performances AGAIN. The three of you have standards that are so high that you never disappoint. I really liked the tight, locked in harmony. That's how it should be done. I also agree with Josie a little more bass would be nice. This is a fine example of songwriting, vocal performance and mastery of production. Hi all. I just recently mixed Lawrence Olivier's Album Vessel. During mixing, I was mesmerized by a woman singing on one of his song. That woman come to find out was Janice Merritt. So I did a google search and it brought me to this page.
Not trying to hi-jack Floyd's post (great song by the way Floyd and nice mix) but I just wanted to say Janice you have an amazing voice and it was a true pleasure to mix it on Lawrence's "I Will" song.
Until Lawrence came along I had no idea what Band in the Box was. I literally had no experience with it. After mixing his album, I can see why you all use it. Lawrence's album turned out (he's a song writing genius) excellent and I hope he will let some of you hear it. It was a joy to mix all of these unique sounding instruments and of course Lawrence's unique great voice.
Anyway sorry if this posting is frowned upon here, again did not mean to hi jack, but I wanted Janice to know that I was moved by her performance.

Janice and floyd, This is outstanding. The write and arrangement are first class and your performances lift the song into the stratosphere. The duet approach is a perfect fit. Both of you are so incredibly talented. The word play in the bridge made me smile... when you find the one you want to hold forever

All the best to you both, Noel Noel - I always look forward to what you might have to say about a song - whether it be lyric or production ideas... thanks for noting the bridge wording... The drums processing was a bit of an experiment on this one. I doubled the track (made a copy) and EQ'd it hard from 200-500 (dropping out everything else) to accentuate the snare and to give it some "warm".
