NICE! I love classic country styles. And your lyrics are so balanced. And (I know, but I'm serious) the basic melody structure is classic, THEN has a little twist, an extra bar or two, a couple chord shifts... Pulls it away from what'd I'd expect to hear. Surprise!
It's a 2-stepper. An "OK-all-you-couples-get-out-on-the-floor" song.

I listened to a Hank Williams Greatest Hits album (weren't they all?)for a week before I picked a key, a progression, and lyrics I thought were representative of the style.
