I have seen what you are talking about LynB,
and also sometimes here when I use the 'From-Thru' method (and just use the arrows) I get errant numbers.
Consolidated tracks seem to perform better in this aspect.
Track- Save track to file works every time though, sending the complete track to its own file, however this does not include any realtime FX
Not sure how you are 'exporting an audio track to a folder'. If you are using 'track-save track to file' then it is not necessary to highlight the track, the program does it during the process.
I do not work here, but the benefits are still awesome
