Meh. Spent the money and bought Microsoft Office. It's only money, and I have no interest in denying myself things I want and will use now while trying to become the richest corpse in the graveyard. Free software is free for a reason. Office IS a little expensive but the integration of all those moving parts is so seamless that I like being able to take something from "this" and paste it right into "that". I use Word, Excel, Power Point, Publisher, Outlook and (when I worked) Visio and OneNote. Now, I need to say that my work experience supporting that suite of programs led to the fondness. Supporting close to 1000 users on those products meant I used them every day and got deep into the bowels of them because the calendars and chat program and such were all used slightly differently by every user.

But with the Microsoft commercial behind me and back to the original question, the type ahead thing, if the type ahead populates something you don't want, just hit the space bar before you hit enter. That will change the search string and there will be no match for it to auto populate. Can't imagine one keystroke disturbing work flow that much.
