Finally a new Usertrack is out, after a long time in the making (and even longer in planning)
From the Memo:
A rich sounding accordion playing a bouncy rhythm reminiscent of the irish "Jig", including a steady "walking" bass line to complete a full-fledged backing instrumentation. it can thus stand easily on its own as well as alongside other swinging instruments, jig or otherwise.===Over an HOUR of playing data, in uncompressed .wav files for approx. 400 Mb in size!
Tempo range ca. 1!0 - 140
Some demos for your pleasure, starting with just the most basic jig, consisting of only piccolo melody, sticks and the Usertrack providing the backing on its own. Find it HERE! And the same song but just the Usetrack performing solo, find it HERE! And finally two "full band" demos of vastly different styles, just to show the possibilities: A "Scandinavian swing" (basically country swing with accordion replacing a piano) is HERE! and an "experimental" jazzy one is HERE!
Anyone who fancies adding this highly versatile UT to their collection can obtain it for just a single buck, kindly send me a PM me for details

Thank you for noticing, let alone the encouraging feedback
To be honest I had expected this one to get more attention than it seemingly has so far (with only your one post of feedback yet), since I remember people were asking for something of this sort a lot, at least back in the early days of this feature
Oh well, your post of acknowledgement only means the more to me for it. It certainly will contribute to my determination to carry on in this field.

A followup to that last post: I noticed just now that some very supportive PG staff member has deemed my humble contribution worthy of a dedicated "News" entry(?!) I cannot begin to tell how much such a token of support means to me. And lo and behold, the surge in downloads of the demo files in just 24 hours has been massive!
Admittedly it hasn't yet translated into people's readiness of equal measure to part with one measly buck (a single $1) in order to actually get the whole set, but as long as people are showing interest I remain hopeful

To use UserTracks in Power Tracks you need to rename SGU to MGU then open. Insert 2 bars into track, add a -2 Bar Offset then move the audio track back so audio starts on bar 1. You will have to edit move/cut/copy/change tempo/pitch shift the chords to fit your track.
EDIT: use your markers to make the chord progression you need, set PT to Snap then copy the chords from the usertrack and paste into a new track follow the chord markers on the timeline when you have made your chord progression track you can generate a metronome midi track, if you drag the new audio track and mid metronome track out it will give you the chords in the midi file as markers, so when you open the midi file then the wav in Powertracks it will give you the chords on the timeline as markers.
In the wishlist there is a wish for Power Tracks and UserTracks.
Thank you kindly for chipping in on this one, Pipeline, as we on the Mac front do not have the luxury of Powertracks, so I was at a loss for coming up with an answer about this issue.

I edited the post above with more info but found an old post I made, doing it manually might not be as quick as generating but you get exactly what you want, in PT you can also Acidize the bars/chords as loops and use it that way:
1. download the the usertrack.
2. unzip it and rename the SGU to MGU
3. open the mgu file this will load in the wav also
4. set bar offset to -2 and in edit menu insert 2 bars at -1
5. now move the audio track right back to bar -1 just hold ctrl key down then click on audio track and drag.
6. you can just turn on snap to bar, now choose a beats, bar or bars by highlighting them, now click on the track number and drag it out to the usertrack folder and just put the chord name with number of beats or bars on the end.
7. now you can make a new project with your chords and just drag the chords files into the track with Snap to bar enabled. To change the tempo or pitch just hold ctrl key and click on the chord file and it will turn blue now right click and select Time stretch & pitch shift, now just drag it to the correct location. If you have a chord with just 2 beats drag it into the bar then drag the next chord to the start of the next bar now move it left to fit, otherwise it will erase that 2 beat chord. The chord files are easy moved by holding ctrl key first then click so they turn blue and drag while still holding ctrl key. You can easily copy them as well.
8. you can also work within power tracks by changing the track to the tempo you need firstly then you can enter the chords to your own arrangement in the markers window by putting the cursor at the bar or beat then click Markers then Ins and type the chord in. This way you have your chord track on the bar numbers at the top of the tracks window that you can now follow. So just highlight the chord you need from the usertrack and paste it to bar 1 in a new track then do the same for next chord. As mention before you can highlight and pitch shift the chords.
9. (from above) when you have made your chord progression track you can generate a metronome midi track, if you drag the new audio track and mid metronome track out it will give you the chords in the midi file as markers, so when you open the midi file then the wav in Powertracks it will give you the chords on the timeline as markers and also in other DAW's.
