Good Morning!
Well I've managed to finally get BIAB 2016 back up and running since my epic crash. Now that I've downloaded and installed everything, including the latest updates, I'm running into an issue thats got me pulling my hair out!
Whenever I try to load an RT or RD into a song, I get the following errors>
Access Violation at address 005044F4 in module BBW.exe
Also, at the bottom right hand corner in Yellow, I get an error message>This file requieres MS Media Player 9 or above.
I'm running Win 7 64. I had BIAB 2016 running before for months and never had this issue, but this is another laptop, thanks in advance for any tips!

I get an error message>This file requieres MS Media Player 9 or above. Normally, I would suggest to "Reset to Factory Settings", but more likely the program is telling you what it needs.

Go to Microsoft's support website and download the latest version of the Microsoft Media Player.
Your problem is likely caused by the version of Windows you are using does not include the Microsoft Media Player in the installation.
Some of the Band-in-a-Box functions require Microsoft Media Player.

Edward, As an experiment, try right-clicking on the shortcut you use to start the program and select "Run as administrator". Does the problem persist? Some other questions that spring to mind... 1. Can you load a style with Realtracks and have it play? 2. When you mention that the problems arise when you "load" RTs/RDs, are you loading the tracks this using the Realtrack Picker and Realdrum Picker? 3. Do you run the RTs and RDs from an external drive or have you installed them on your computer's hard drive? Regards, Noel

Thanks for your responses guys.
First, I have downloaded Win Media player 9 10 11 and 12 from the MS website. Each time when I try to install it, the message is that its not a valid program????
Second, I have tried Return to factory settings, there is no change.
If I load a RT demo, the file will play fine with no errors.
If I try to choose a RT in a file that just has a melody, I get the error messages, everytime.
I have tried running as Administrator, there is no change.
I cant understand why I cant install Win Media player?
Any other tips?

Ed, I know you are in Mexico, but do you perhaps have one of the "N" or "KN" versions of Windows 7? If so, take a look at this link: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=16546Some regional versions of Windows 7 do not include IE or WMP (mainly the EU, but perhaps this has affected you). So the standard WMP won't install.

I wonder how much of the aggravation you've experienced in the past is due to this? Don't answer that.
