Thanks very much for the info. I had high hopes that out there somewhere exists an eSATA powered hard drive (similar to a USB powered drive), but it appears that's not the case. If anyone finds out otherwise, please let me know. I was wanting to take advantage of the increased speed of the eSATA connect without needing to carry along a power supply cord since I'm planning to use this on my laptop.
